When we start seeing Tuna , then the Marlin are also here, and the best months to target them is between now and end November. Half day, and full day trips, sleeping at Silver Fish Lodge, fully catered.
Lazarus banks (#pemba, Northern Moçambique) rod and reel, and spearfishing trips is also from now until end November. This is the first year its open again, after being closed for the last couple of years. It's a liveaboard 5 night trip, taking a max of 6 paying guests. Popping, jigging, Marlin, Dogtooth tuna, big Yellowfin tuna. Still some weeks available. Fly-in to Pemba, Moçambique.
December month is family holiday time, and although the new year from the 28th Dec is already booked, i still have a few weeks available thats up for grabs at Silver Fish Lodge . Febuary 2024 is Watamu, Kenya, Billfish Grand Slam time. I've written plenty of the fishing tours that I've done over 10 seasons to this incredible place. Two, or three people on a 38ft sportsfisher, day trips, overnighting on land.
April has been traditionally the best gamefishing month here in Inhambane, Moçambique with all the species present. Half day and full day trips, as well as 3 to 4 days overnight trips to Pomene on a 50ft liveaboard yacht, either rod and reel or spearfishing trips arranged. Pomene is great for Popping, jigging and also great for Spearfishing with plenty of shallower reefs (15m)
May is the time to be in the Primieras (fly in Quelimane) for Dogtooth spearfishing. The water will be warm (27 deg C) 4 to 6 paying guests, on a 6 night offshore trip on a liveaboard yacht to the Premieras shoals. That season runs through to end July. I've just written about our last trip there in the blog, epic stuff.
AUGUST is time for me to do some me time, with winds that could be a problem. Even i need some rest and recharge.
